Dr. D'Anna is an ecologist whose work brings natural and social science together to study coastal and estuarine systems. She uses qualitative and quantitative methods to understand how cultural and social factors shape environmental decisions, community well-being, and resilience.
Her research at the Coastal Studies Institute examines the benefits people receive from coastal ecosystems, perceptions of marine energy and aquaculture, and the connections among coastal change, communities, and management decisions.
