Community and Regional Planning Minor

The Community and Regional Planning Minor introduces students to planning ideas, urban and regional issues, and the tools planners use to support communities. The minor requires 18 s.h. and can pair well with majors connected to public service, environment, geography, design, policy, or community work.

Minor Overview

This minor gives students a foundation in cities, regions, planning practice, and community development. Students complete a small core and then choose PLAN electives that fit their interests.

Requirements

The official ECU Catalog is the source of record for the minor. In summary, the Community and Regional Planning Minor requires 18 s.h.

• Core, 6 s.h.: PLAN 1900 – Sustainable Cities or PLAN 2030 – Global Cities; and PLAN 2900 – Introduction to Urban and Regional Planning
• PLAN electives, 12 s.h.: Choose from approved PLAN electives.
• Internship note: A maximum of 3 s.h. of internship may count toward the minor.
